Media literacy through my subject. Teachers training for the Digital Stars community

In June and July 2021, a series of online trainings for primary school teachers will be held, with participants to be included in the \“Digital Stars\“ community of the Media Literacy Coalition. The program encourages the development of skills for teaching media literacy regardless of the subject.

The main focus of the program is how distance and online learning can be used to develop media literacy in children. The training steps on the practical handbook \“Media literacy through distance learning\“ and its ready-to-apply lessons and homework projects that are prepared in a team.

Five sessions are scheduled for June and July so that teachers can choose the most appropriate one for them. The training itself is tailored to the workload of teachers, and for a short time includes mainly practical tasks so that participants to develop their own lesson at the end. Each training consists of two online sessions of an hour and a half within a week. Participants that developed a lesson plan receive a certificate for inclusion in the community of \“Digital Stars\“ of the Media Literacy Coalition.

According to their commitments, they can sign up for one of the options below.
